I’ve had a soulful celebration of the Holy Week.
It was a retreat from the noise of this world to listen to God, to get to know Jesus.
It transformed me.
The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.
~ John 3:8
It began with my reconciliation with Jesus Christ.
It didn’t take long before I found myself enveloped in His arms.
He loved me; He truly did.
I walked out of the confessional box with insurmountable peace.
My life was changed forever.
Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.
~ John 3:17
Ever since my mom died more than seven months ago, my life took on a whole new different meaning.
The Lenten Season only intensified that meaning.
To see suffering and death right before my very eyes was like bearing witness to Christ’s Passion and death on the Cross.
But sufferings end.
And death is only the beginning.
There is the Resurrection.
Christ is risen from the dead.
There is victory.
I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in Me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.
~ John 11:25-26
But there can be no Resurrection without Christ’s Passion.
The Cross has to be carried.
The road to Calvary has to be walked.
The challenge is on keeping His Word now that Lent is over.
Our work is not yet done.
Happy are those
who do not follow the advice of the wicked,
or take the path that sinners tread,
or sit in the seat of scoffers;
but their delight is in the law of the Lord,
and on His law they meditate day and night.
~ Psalm 1:1
