You Are The Potter, I Am The Clay

Potter's Hands

The pot he was working on was spoiled in his hands, so he reworked it all over again into another pot that suits his desire. ~ Jeremiah 18:4

We are all works in progress in a life that can be messy, disastrous, chaotic.

But the mess…

The chaos…

The troubles we wish we could run away from…

These are only parts of the raw materials that God is using to create a masterpiece in us.

This is why He allows trials and sufferings.

This is why He lets us experience how it is to be broken.

Out of the brokenness He will put the pieces back together…

Mold us into something new…

And we become the person that God wants us to be…

If only we allow Him.

People of Israel, can I not do with you what this potter does? As clay in the potter’s hand so are you in My hands. ~ Jeremiah 18:6

God likened Himself to the potter; He likened us to the clay.

The Potter does as He wills to the clay; the clay is only His instrument.

This shows the power that God has in our lives.

But sometimes we resist.

Sometimes we want to be the potter of our own lives.

We may try…

Do as we wish…

Escape His will…

But we will never become the masterpiece that God intends us to be.

Without the Potter, we are nothing but clay.

If only we allow ourselves to be molded by His hands…

Even if the molding be painful, heartbreaking, uncomfortable…

We are in Good Hands.

God bless. ➕💖🔥
