The Perfect Surrender

The Perfect Surrender

“Abba, Father, all things are possible to You. Take this cup away from Me, but not what I will but what You will.” ~ Mark 14:36

The Father sent His Son to us not only so that He can save us from our sins…

But also to show us how we can be saved…

How to draw closer to God…

How to love God…

How our relationship with God should be like.

He came to become the very example of loving God not only when things are easy for us…

But most especially when life gets challenging for us…

In tears…

In pain…

In suffering.

He showed us that an act of surrender is an act of love for His Father.

Keep watch and pray, all of you, so that you may not slip into temptation. The spirit indeed is eager but human nature is weak. And going away He prayed saying the same words.
~ Mark 14:38-39

Life’s circumstances may alter our perspective of God, if we allow them to.

They may even weaken our relationship with God.

Being human (and vulnerable) we have the tendency to rely more on what our eyes can see instead of trusting God’s plan.

This is the reason why there is always a need for us to renew that trust…

A need to pray and have daily conversations with God…

A need to strengthen our bond with Him.

Jesus, in His life on earth, always found the time to pray.

He turned to His Father in His darkest and weakest moments…

Even until His death.

In a life of prayer, God is never far away.

God bless.
